A "Christmas Carol" comes to Sursa Performance Hall Friday, Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m.
What’s different? This live radio adaption of the Charles Dicken’s classic, directed by Jennifer Blackmer, will be performed before the Sursa audience and broadcast on Indiana Public Radio.
Blackmer is very eager to produce the show. As a director, Blackmer says each project is an enjoyment because everything is brand new.
“You have a new set of people coming in; you have new people auditioning, new set of collaborators, so it’s all good that way,” Blackmer said.
Mac Wright, a Ball State University theater major, says he is looking forward to seeing how different the radio broadcast is from the live performance or from a traditional theater experience.
“It’s in front of a large audience, but it’s also being broadcast on radio, so it’s a mix of voice acting and theater. So, I’m looking forward to see that,” Wright said.
Tickets are $10; $5 for students at the Emens Box Office.
